Year 6 1940's Day

On Wednesday, Year 6 had a fantastic day learning about what life was like for evacuated children during World War 2 with the company History Off the Page.

Pupils spent the morning in a 1940’s classroom doing arithmetic, evacuation drills and handwriting lessons.

In the afternoon, pupils visited the shops with their ration books and old English money.

During the day, they learnt lots about WW2 and its impact on the children of Britain.
