Physical Education

The aim of physical education is to develop an enjoyment of Sport & physical activity. Pupils also need to understand how activity choices help to develop a healthy lifestyle.

“The will must be stronger than the skill.”

Mohammed Ali

Pupils will be given opportunities to access high quality PE teaching to develop collaborative and partnership working. They will need the skills to critically view techniques and self-evaluate what they can do well. Tactical awareness and opportunities to put skills into competitive scenarios within class / school or competition will be given to all children. These help to develop self-esteem and confidence.

We will also look to inspire children to find activities suited to their skill set, not just traditional sports, as well as opportunities to link physical health to mental health.
